Last weekend I took a trip ‘Up North’ as I kept calling it – to a small town North of Aberdeen – to take photos of a beautiful family, who have recently welcomed a brand new member into their gang!
I had the privilege of photographing this wonderful couple’s Wedding Day a number of moons ago, so it was extra special to be back to capture their family with two new additions: a beautiful young lady and a tiny baby boy.
He was the sleepiest perfect little week-old squish and she was such a fun and smiley poser - lucky me!
It always amazes me when new moms look this incredible just days after going through the excitement of pregnancy, labour and adjusting to all the exciting patters a newborn brings into your life.
And this is why photographing family connections is just my favorite part of the job – people who love one another have that special glow, effortlessly captured and forever preserved in photos.
I had such an amazing time working with this family and am beyond excited to finish and deliver their gallery - I just know they will love and cherish these images forever.
Afterthought: following this session, I think I need to add a word of a warning to my Pre-Session Contract, along the lines of: ‘there is a high chance I may get carried away with taking photos of your beautiful family and physically unable to leave.
My hand will morph into a claw, continuously pressing the shutter, taking one amazing image after another. Please make arrangements to remove me from the premises, You have my full permission to do so’.
