Family Photo Session at St Cyrus Beach Near Montrose | Aberdeen Aberdeenshire Family Photographer

I can not cope.

These guys were pretty high up in my books of favorites before we even met for the session - they agreed to meet at a dreaded time of 7PM (bed times/dinners etc. usually mean we have to make earlier appointments with my families) and promised to deliver in the good mood department (they 100% fulfilled the brief)!

With the crazy bright days we’ve been having recently, making it 7PM meant we should be able to just about the cope with the sunshine...

...except for we got no sunshine - last weekend we entered into storm territory and most of Saturday and Sunday were spent with all eyes on the AccuWeather app on my phone.

We spotted a break in the rain and decided to just go for it.

We met at one of my favorite locations to photograph families in and around Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire - St. Cyrus Nature Reserve, which is a gorgeous stretch of a North Sea beach, lined with sand dunes and a long narrow bridge, leading up to it from the car park - photo opportunities galore.

AM.I.GLAD.WE.WENT FOR IT!!!

This boy is one of the happiest and friendliest little dudes I've ever met and the entire session was just soaked with love, joy and warmth coming from this sweet family.

I am so excited to look through all the images once again and deliver this gallery - worst thing about this session? Narrowing down the final selection!
